T&C

The Shop manages a range of different services, that have a different T&C, please see the below sections that are relevant to the service you have been using.

Textbooks

Bookshop customers may seek a refund on items purchased in-store or online, either in-store or by return mail.

The Shop will also replace, exchange or refund defective or damaged items purchased via The Shop either in-store or online to the value of the purchase price, provided the item/s are:

  • Returned prior to the Census date of the trimester/study period in which the item was purchased;
  • Returned within fourteen (14) days of purchase, for in-store purchases or twenty-eight (28) days of purchase, for on-line purchases;
  • In its original condition, including any accessories where possible; and
  • Accompanied by a copy of the original tax invoice/store receipt.

NOTE: Customers are not entitled to a refund for a change of mind. Returns sought after the Census date will not be refunded, however, a credit note or exchange will be considered.

Refund payments will be processed using the original currency and payment method used in the original transaction, to the value of the purchase price excluding delivery costs. Original delivery charges will not be refunded unless products are defective or damaged. Where appropriate, a credit note may be issued in lieu of a refund, for use towards another purchase in-store or online.

For returns after the Census date, of the semester the item was purchased, only a credit note or exchange will be considered.

Postal refunds. Items purchased online may also be returned by post. Items must be packaged securely with original accessories and posted to The Shop PO Box 53, University of New England NSW 2351.

Customers are responsible for return postal charges. The Shop does not accept responsibility for nondelivered parcels. It is recommended for items being returned by mail that a track and trace freight method is used. The Shop does not accept responsibility for items damaged during return shipment or lost in

eBooks

eBooks are managed through a third party for all Returns and Refunds please see here.

Please note: eBook codes that are emailed directly from UNE Life Campus Books are not able to be returned. 

 

The Shop - Delivery

Delivery Terms

Free Standard Shipping: Orders over $100.
Standard Delivery: $10 flat rate for orders under $100 (Australia-wide).

  • An email confirmation will be sent for all online orders.
  • Orders are shipped via Australia Post.
  • Your order will be dispatched within 2 working days after full payment is received.*

Delivery timeframes:

  • Standard delivery takes approximately 2–10 business days, depending on the delivery address.
  • For urgent deliveries, please contact us to arrange a courier at an additional cost.

Important information:

  • Please double-check the delivery address when placing your order, especially for gift recipients. We cannot redirect parcels once they leave our fulfilment centre.
  • If a parcel is returned to us due to being unclaimed, refused, or insufficiently addressed, we will contact you for further instructions. Additional delivery charges will apply for re-shipping.

International orders:

  • For overseas deliveries, please get in touch with us at  02 6773 3073 to discuss freight costs.

* Public Holidays may cause some delivery delays that are out of our control.

The Shop - Returns

Returns and refunds policy

We understand the importance of shopping with confidence. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it to us for an exchange or refund in accordance with the guidelines below:

  1. Change of mind or incorrect choice
    • Refunds are not available for change of mind or incorrect choice.
  2. Damaged or faulty goods
    • Full refunds or replacements are offered for damaged or faulty goods returned within 14 days of purchase.
    • Goods must be returned to us before a replacement is dispatched.
  3. How to return an item
    • To request a return or exchange, email us at theshop@une.edu.au within 7 days of receiving your order. Please include:
      • Your full name
      • The reason for return
      • Your order number
      • Details of the items you would like to exchange
    • Once approved, we will email you a return form to complete and include with your item.
    • After receiving your item, we will notify you and process your exchange or refund within 7 business days.
    • Please note: The Shop will not be held responsible if the item does not reach us safely.

  4. Freight costs
    • All freight costs for returns and deliveries of exchanges or refunds (excluding damaged or faulty goods) are at the customer’s expense.
  5. Ownership of goods
    • All goods remain the property of The Shop until paid for in full.
  6. Payment terms
    • All goods must be paid for in full before dispatch.
  7. Pricing
    • All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.
  8. Limitation of liability
    • To the extent permitted by law, The Shop excludes all warranties and representations. We do not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from the supply of our products.
